Following the morning hike to St. Mary Falls and Virginia Falls, the return drive to Logan Pass provides the opportunity to stroll the popular 3 mile (4.8 KM) round-trip hike from the Visitor Center in Glacier National Park, Montana, USA, past Clements Mountain, to the Hidden Lake outlook.

Gross elevation is about 500 ft. (168 M).  The first half of the short, easy trail is on wide, wooden boardwalk.  There are a number of picturesque and reflective trail-side ponds on the return walk to the Logan Pass Visitor Center with expansive views of surrounding mountains and valleys.

The emerald water of Hidden Lake resides in a very beautiful valley surrounded by spectacular mountains and trail extends from the large wooden viewing platform so unencumbered photographs can record the majesty of surrounding scenery.

The boardwalk is built around this large boulder to preserve the environment.

 

The hike to Hidden Lake is completed in early afternoon and the return drive to Rising Sun provides an opportunity to stop at the Wild Goose Island viewpoint for a photo of the tiny, picturesque island on St. Mary Lake.
